Why Are You Here?

What is your Mission?
What is your life about?

When most humans consider these questions they automatically think of their career. They believe what they do is synonymous with their mission.

I've witnessed coaches spend hours, months, even years trying to “figure out” their purpose. They fall prey to the idea that the more clearly they articulate their mission the more they will stand out, bring in clients, and make an impact. This process is rife with overthinking, perfection, anxiety, and fear.

The result often further cements the misunderstanding that: who I am/how I contribute is what I do.

This is an illusion. Who you are is not the same as what you do.

Gaining clarity about what you do and who you serve is a beautiful thing. Buying into the idea that that is why you are here on this earth…I question.

  • What if your Mission is more expansive than that?

  • What if it's also simpler?

The first part of the year I devoted time to this inquiry while participating in a mastermind group. Initially, I compared myself to what I saw other coaches and leaders creating. Bigger seemed better. More seemed powerful.

The more I leaned in, the worse I felt. So I decided to put the inquiry away (aka stop striving to “figure it out”) and simply live in my life.

Within a month clarity arrived.

My mission is to enjoy my life and help others do the same.

Simple and intimate—that is what I'm about.

There are many ways I live this mission. One way is through my work by helping people discover, live, and trust their truth. Another is by enjoying my life.

Grounding in this truth relieved the pressure I was putting on my work. It gave me permission to widen my view and take in the wholeness of life. It invites me to be present and enjoy this moment—no matter how mundane, challenging, or fun it may be. (A positive situation isn't required for enjoyment. There is a way to enjoy your entire human experience. I'll be sharing more about that at my free workshop next Saturday.)

Maybe it's time to redefine your Mission. I wonder if a more holistic approach would serve you too?

With loving,
Amber

Note: The event will be recorded for those who aren't able to attend live.

How often have you ignored or denied what's right for you? How many times have you laid awake in your bed playing and replaying a moment where you wish you would've said no? Or yes?

I've been there. Many times. And, there is a way out.

There is a way to live your Truth more consistently—which is why I'm leading a FREE virtual workshop:

Five Ways to Live Your Truth
on Saturday September 16, 2023 from 10am-12pm PST.

During this session, we'll explore a deeper definition of truth that will bring you greater compassion for your humanness. (Truth is more than being honest with yourself and others. It's also more expansive than simply honoring your knowing.)

We'll also cover practical ways to more easily connect to your truth and build the capacity to embody it in your daily life.

Coaching on your questions and discoveries will be part of the day as well.

If you'd like to be more you (the real you) than ever before, sign up here.

RSVP is required.
